As a Security Officer - Aerospace Facility Patrol Driver in Melbourne, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a leading aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for all personnel and visitors. Your visible presence and routine patrols help to deter security-related incidents, while your focus on exceptional customer service and communication supports a welcoming atmosphere. This is a driving post, so you will operate vehicles as part of your daily responsibilities. Requirements

Have a minimum of three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or access.
Monitor the premises for unusual activity and report findings according to site protocols.
Interact professionally with employees, visitors, and contractors in the aerospace and defense environment.
Complete required documentation and logs regarding patrols, observations, and incidents as directed by Allied Universal or site management.
Follow all site-specific post orders and instructions for the location.
