Job Description As a Security Officer - Aero Facility Patrol in Cape Canaveral, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a leading aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. You will be responsible for conducting routine patrols, supporting access control, and communicating professionally with all individuals on site. Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
A valid guard card or license is preferred.
Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with any necessary actions.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for irregularities.
Maintain awareness of surroundings in an aerospace and defense environment, reporting any unusual or suspicious activity.
Document and communicate incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal protocols.
Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal team members to support security-related needs at the location.
Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials as required by site policies.
