Job Description As a Security Officer - Aero Facility Patrol in Rockford, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned aerospace and defense locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. You will conduct routine patrols and interact with personnel and visitors, providing outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter to help to deter potential issues and identify security-related concerns.
Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents encountered during patrols.
Support access control procedures by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials as required.
Communicate promptly with Allied Universal management and/or site leadership regarding incidents, concerns, or observations.
Assist with emergency response activities, including evacuation procedures and coordination with first responders when appropriate.
