About The Position

As a Security Officer - Aero Driver Security Clearance in Annapolis, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at an aerospace and defense location, you will greet employees and visitors, manage access check-ins, verify credentials, and support security-related protocols with clear, professional communication. You will help document incidents, coordinate with site contacts, and represent Allied Universal with integrity, teamwork, and a caring, people-first approach. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license and compliance with AU Driver Policy Requirements.

Requirements

• Have 1+ years of security experience.
• Maintain an active DoD Secret clearance.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a front desk location.
• Control access to the facility by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, managing sign-in and sign-out activity, and directing visitors to designated contact points.
• Monitor access control alarms, cameras, and/or other front desk systems as assigned, document observations, and report unusual activity per post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following escalation protocols and coordinating with on-site personnel as needed.
• Complete required reports and logs, maintain accurate records of visitors and deliveries, and communicate security-related information to Allied Universal leadership and client representatives.
