Job Description As a Security Officer - Aero-Defense Screener in Mukilteo, WA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Screener at a leading aero and defense location, you will monitor entry points, conduct screening procedures, and support access control to help reduce security-related risks. You will remain visible, communicate clearly, and document observations using computer or tablet tools as needed. Backed by Allied Universal, you will bring an agile, reliable, and innovative approach, putting people first while delivering through teamwork and acting with integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
  • Guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct entry screening for employees, contractors, visitors, and/or deliveries by checking identification, authorizations, and prohibited item restrictions in accordance with site procedures.
  • Operate access control points by managing visitor processing, credential verification, and directing individuals to the appropriate check-in locations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting suspicious activity and completing required documentation.
  • Support security-related operations at an aerospace and defense location by monitoring assigned areas, maintaining communication with site contacts, and escalating issues through the chain of command.
