Job Description As a Security Officer - Aero/Defense Patrol in Teterboro, NJ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed professional with Allied Universal at a leading aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents. Your visible presence and commitment to outstanding customer service will contribute to a welcoming environment. By communicating clearly and working as part of a reliable team, you will help maintain a secure atmosphere while supporting the innovative and people-first culture that defines Allied Universal.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with security-related concerns as they arise.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential security-related issues.
Monitor the location for any unusual activity and report findings according to Allied Universal protocols.
Assist with access control by observing entrances and exits, helping to maintain authorized entry to designated areas.
Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and/or contractors, providing assistance as needed while maintaining a security-related presence.
Document and report all incidents, observations, and/or issues according to Allied Universal and client site procedures.
