As a Security Officer Access Specialist in Fort Myers, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom. This role involves monitoring entry points, managing access control, and conducting routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents at a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location. The position blends customer service and clear communication with a caring, people-first culture, requiring agility, reliability, and integrity to deliver through innovation and teamwork every day.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all visitors, employees, and contractors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points at a technology and communications location, verify credentials, manage visitor check-in processes, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting activity and communicating with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, noting unusual activity, unsecured doors, and other security-related concerns within the location.
  • Support badge and key control processes, confirm deliveries and vendor access, and maintain accurate logs related to visitors, incidents, and other access control activity.
