Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid is preferred.
  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by following site-specific access control procedures, credential verification practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or authorization, and document visitor, vendor, and/or delivery activity in accordance with location policies.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including production-adjacent areas, warehouses, shipping and receiving zones, and perimeter access points, as permitted by site policy.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access and support daily operations by observing security-related conditions, reporting maintenance or access concerns, and communicating clearly with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
