Job Description As a Security Officer - Access Desk in Bradenton, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy food and beverage manufacturing location, you will greet associates and visitors, manage entry points, verify credentials, and maintain visitor logs and badge control. You will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with site leaders and your Allied Universal team. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card/license is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage manufacturing location.
- Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, managing visitor sign-in and sign-out, issuing temporary credentials when authorized, and directing traffic to approved locations.
- Monitor and document incoming and outgoing deliveries, contractors, and vehicles, helping to deter unauthorized access to production areas, warehouses, and loading docks.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services as required and completing required reports.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for suspicious activity, unsecured doors, and policy violations, and communicating concerns to appropriate personnel.
