About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Screening in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. Join Allied Universal at a premier hotel and resort location as an Access Control Officer, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support a welcoming guest experience. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and provide clear communication and customer service. Requirements

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a resort location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and document arrivals, departures, and/or deliveries in accordance with post instructions.
  • Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating with property personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around lobbies, guest access areas, employee entrances, and the perimeter to help support security-related awareness and report unusual activity.
  • Assist with directing guests and vendors, help maintain orderly access during peak arrival periods and special events, and complete required reports related to security-related activities and observations.
