About The Position

As a Security Officer - Telecom Access Screener in Manassas, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener in a dynamic technology-focused location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and interact with visitors to help to deter security-related incidents. Your role involves conducting access control duties and providing outstanding customer service while maintaining a visible presence. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet and screen all individuals entering the location to help to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited items.
Follow established site-specific policies and procedures for screening personnel, visitors, and/or contractors.
Operate screening equipment, such as metal detectors and/or X-ray machines, as required by site protocols.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues to appropriate personnel as needed.
Document and report all screening activities, incidents, and/or irregularities according to Allied Universal and client procedures.
Provide customer service to all individuals at the location, answering questions and assisting with directions as needed.
Collaborate with team members and site management to support security-related operations and emergency response activities.
Remain alert and attentive to surroundings, reporting any suspicious behavior or items to the appropriate authorities.
