Security Officer - Access Patrol

As a Security Officer - Access Control in Zeeland, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and/or unusual activity, document observations, and provide helpful customer service and clear communication to staff and visitors. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Alarm Panel Experience is preferred.
- Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
- Customer Service Experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within an industrial manufacturing location.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and the perimeter; document observations according to post orders.
- Monitor access points and control entry for employees, contractors, and visitors by checking identification, verifying authorization, and directing people to the proper areas.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify site contacts and/or emergency services as required and complete clear incident reports.
- Perform routine security-related checks such as observing alarms, CCTV, gates, and doors; report hazards, suspicious activity, and maintenance concerns through the established chain of command.
