About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Gate in Winston Salem, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Requirements

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at the location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, process visitor access, and report unusual activity or policy concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations with professionalism, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, production areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Support day-to-day operations at a manufacturing and industrial location by following post orders, maintaining accurate access records, and assisting with security-related procedures for deliveries and restricted areas.
