As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will manage access control, greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, and document entries using a computer and/or tablet. You will remain visible at key points, support routine patrols of assigned areas, and help identify and report security-related concerns. Bring strong communication and customer service while working on a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and guided by integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Have a guard card and/or license, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures, identification checks, and visitor management requirements.
  • Monitor entry and exit points for authorized access, review credentials, and help to deter unauthorized entry in a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Operate security-related systems such as access control software, alarms, radios, and cameras as assigned, documenting activity per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through the chain of command and contacting emergency services when directed.
  • Complete required logs and reports, issue and collect badges and/or keys per policy, and support incident documentation and shift turnover communication.
