As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and maintain order at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location. Your responsibilities include monitoring entry points, conducting routine patrols, and providing outstanding customer service. You will use technology such as computers or tablets to support your duties, all while embodying our values of integrity, teamwork, and a people-first culture.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
Monitor and control access to designated areas within the manufacturing and industrial location, verifying credentials and authorizations as required.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, reporting relevant information to appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the business premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential threats.
Document and report observations, incidents, and/or suspicious activities according to Allied Universal protocols.
Assist with emergency response activities as needed, including guiding individuals to designated areas and supporting first responders.
Maintain a visible presence at access control points to help to deter unauthorized entry and promote a secure environment.
