Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you provide exceptional customer service and clear communication. You will use your comfort with computers or tablets as you manage access points and interact with team members, all while embodying our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

Requirements

Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Assist with access control procedures by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points at the manufacturing and industrial location.
Provide customer service by responding to inquiries and assisting visitors, contractors, and employees as they enter or exit the premises.
Monitor security-related systems such as cameras and alarms to help to deter unauthorized access or suspicious activity.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to observe for unusual activity or potential hazards.
Document observations, incidents, and security-related activities according to Allied Universal and client site procedures.
Communicate and coordinate with site management, emergency responders, and/or Allied Universal supervisors as required during incidents or emergencies.
Follow all site-specific policies, procedures, and post orders related to access control and security-related responsibilities.
