Job Description As a Security Officer - Access Entry Specialist in North Little Rock, AR , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Allied Universal team member assigned to access control at a retail location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entrances, checking badges, and conducting routine patrols throughout the premises. You will remain visible to provide exceptional customer service, assist visitors, and communicate clearly with staff and guests. Requirements

  • At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Monitor access points and verify the credentials of individuals entering or exiting the location to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations within the location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail environment and its perimeter to help to deter potential issues and identify any irregularities.
  • Document observations and incidents according to Allied Universal protocols and communicate relevant information to the appropriate parties.
  • Work collaboratively with client staff and Allied Universal team members to support a secure and welcoming environment for all visitors and employees.
