Job Description As a Security Officer - Tech Campus Patrol in Southaven, MS , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a dynamic tech and media location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. This driving post involves routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout the location. Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas within the location to help to deter unauthorized access.
- Report security-related incidents, hazards, and/or irregularities according to site protocols.
- Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal management to address security-related concerns specific to the technology, media, and telecommunications environment.
- Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disturbances or disruptions within the location.
- Complete required logs, reports, and/or documentation as directed by site procedures.
