As a Front Desk professional with Allied Universal at an education location, you will welcome students, staff, and visitors, support access control and visitor sign-in, and respond to security-related questions with clear communication and a calm, customer-first approach. You will monitor activity from a central post, document incidents, and coordinate with campus teams, bringing agile, reliable service and integrity to every interaction.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, staff, and visitors at the front desk by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access at the main reception area by greeting visitors, verifying identification and/or authorization, issuing visitor passes, and directing individuals to appropriate campus locations.
  • Monitor security-related systems at the front desk, including cameras, alarms, and access control equipment, and document irregular activity per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate campus contacts and/or emergency services and completing required reports.
  • Answer phones and assist with general inquiries, coordinate deliveries and service providers, and maintain accurate logs such as visitor, key, and incident documentation.
