Job Description As a Security Officer - Access Control in Kahului, HI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, support badge and visitor processes, and monitor activity to help identify security-related concerns. You will conduct routine patrols, stay visible, document incidents, and communicate clearly with team members and site leaders. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
  • A Guard Card/License is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and employees by following site-specific access control procedures and security-related policies at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Control entry and exit at gates and/or lobbies by verifying identification, confirming appointments or delivery documentation, issuing visitor credentials, and directing traffic to designated areas.
  • Monitor alarm panels, CCTV, and access control systems when assigned, and report irregular activity or policy violations according to post orders.
  • Respond to incidents, emergencies, and service requests in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and documenting actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized access and report hazards or maintenance concerns.
