As an Access Control Officer in a residential community, you will greet residents and guests, verify credentials, manage entry points, and document activity with clear, professional communication. You will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents while delivering a welcoming customer service experience. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a residential location.
  • Control access at entry points by verifying identification and/or authorization, issuing visitor passes as required, and directing traffic to approved parking and drop-off areas.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify site management and/or public emergency services per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of common areas, entry routes, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance or policy concerns.
  • Complete detailed reports of access activity, incidents, and unusual observations, and communicate updates to residents and/or property management in accordance with site procedures.
