As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will greet visitors, verify credentials, manage badge access, and support visitor and delivery logs. You will remain visible, conduct routine rounds as needed, and communicate clearly with tenants, guests, and site teams to help reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Bring integrity, teamwork, and a people-first mindset to every interaction.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- CPR Certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a commercial real estate location.
- Control access to the property by verifying identification and authorization, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and directing guests to approved areas.
- Monitor entry points and security-related systems such as cameras, alarm panels and/or access control software, and report irregular activity per post orders.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of common areas, tenant spaces as authorized, parking areas, loading docks and the perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
