About The Position

As a Security Officer - Healthcare Access Control Driver in Lansing, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor entrances, check credentials, and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. You will remain visible and approachable, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication to all visitors and staff. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with access control procedures at the healthcare location to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or exit.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, verifying credentials and permissions as required.
  • Provide customer service by responding to questions and assisting staff, patients, and visitors with security-related needs.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and observe for potential security-related concerns.
  • Document observations, incidents, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client policies.
  • Work collaboratively with site staff and Allied Universal team members to address security-related issues and support emergency response activities when appropriate.
