About The Position

As a Security Officer - Telecom Access Control in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated tech, media, and telecom locations to help maintain a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols, remain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service through clear communication. Requirements

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as needed.
Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel, visitors, and deliveries.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report any unusual findings.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of activities, observations, and incidents as required by site protocols.
Communicate clearly with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal team members to support a secure environment at the location.
Operate security-related equipment and technology, such as access control systems and surveillance cameras, as required.
