About The Position

As a Security Officer - Telecom Access Control in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated tech, media, and telecom locations to help maintain a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols, remain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service through clear communication. Requirements

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel, visitors, and deliveries.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report any unusual findings.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of activities, observations, and incidents as required by site protocols.
  • Communicate clearly with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal team members to support a secure environment at the location.
  • Operate security-related equipment and technology, such as access control systems and surveillance cameras, as required.
