As a Security Officer - Access Control in Knoxville, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a healthcare environment, including access control duties.
  • Monitor and control entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access, ensuring only authorized personnel and visitors are permitted.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for healthcare settings.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the location and perimeter to help to deter potential security-related concerns and identify any unusual activity.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of access control activities, incidents, and observations as required by site protocols.
  • Assist visitors and staff with directions, information, and security-related inquiries while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to support overall security-related operations at the location.
