Job Description As a Security Officer - Facility Access Control in Memphis, TN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Professional in an access control role at a prominent food and beverage location, you will monitor entrances, check credentials, and help to deter security-related incidents through routine patrols and a strong visible presence. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and embody Allied Universal's values of integrity, teamwork, and putting people first.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor access points at the location to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain security-related protocols.
  • Verify identification and credentials of individuals entering and/or exiting the premises in accordance with site-specific policies.
  • Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and contractors with access-related questions and concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal procedures and site guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to observe for unusual activity and report security-related concerns.
  • Document and report all access control activities, incidents, and observations according to established protocols.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal management to support a secure and orderly environment at the food and beverage production location.
  • Participate in emergency response activities as required by site-specific procedures and Allied Universal protocols.
