About The Position

As a Security Officer Entry Point Monitor in Whitestown, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will help manage access points, verify credentials, monitor site activity, and provide professional customer service and communication. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and/or drivers by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
Monitor entrances, gates, badges, credentials, and/or visitor logs to help control authorized access for personnel, deliveries, and shipments entering or leaving the location.
Respond to incidents, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related events and communicating with site contacts as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, parking areas, and shipping and receiving zones, as working environments and conditions may vary by location.
Support security-related operations by observing activity at dock doors, trailer yards, and other controlled areas, reporting unusual conditions and/or policy concerns to the appropriate contact.
