About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control in Milwaukee, WI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a food and beverage production location, you will help manage entry points, verify identification, and support badge issuance and access permissions. You will remain highly visible, conduct routine rounds near key areas, document security-related activity, and communicate clearly with employees, contractors, and visitors. Requirements

  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, employees, contractors, and delivery drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location.
  • Staff access control points to help manage entry and exit, verify identification and/or credentials, issue temporary badges as directed, and maintain visitor, contractor, and vendor logs.
  • Screen inbound and outbound traffic as required, including coordinating with shipping and receiving for truck check-in and/or check-out, directing vehicles to designated areas, and communicating access issues to site contacts.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events, escalating concerns through the chain of command, and assisting first responders when requested.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including entrances, parking areas, perimeter lines, and common areas, and report maintenance hazards and/or policy violations to management.
