Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic manufacturing location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and attentive communication. You will support daily operations by conducting routine patrols, assisting visitors and employees, and delivering customer service with integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach in a fast-moving industrial environment.

Requirements

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, location policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorized access, and help to deter unauthorized activity at the location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related concerns and communicating with site contacts as needed.
  • Support visitor management, vendor access, and delivery traffic by maintaining required logs, checking identification, and following post instructions for restricted areas.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including exterior areas and perimeter points, while observing and reporting unusual conditions or security-related issues.
