As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, manage badges, and control entry points to support a smooth flow of operations. You will conduct rounds, document security-related activity, and communicate clearly with on-site teams to help identify concerns early. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial manufacturing location.
  • Control access at entry points by verifying credentials, managing visitor check-in and/or escort requirements, issuing temporary badges, and maintaining access logs.
  • Monitor CCTV, alarm panels, and access control systems; document unusual activity and notify site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications, directing foot and vehicle traffic, and assisting with site response protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or other security-related concerns.
