As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, issue and track badges, and support visitor and employee check-in. You will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with site leadership and staff. Guided by our agile, reliable, and innovative approach, you will deliver through teamwork, act with integrity, and put people first.

Requirements

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and guests by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at an industrial manufacturing location.
• Control access at entrances and gate points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, managing sign-in logs, and directing visitors, contractors, and deliveries to the proper check-in areas.
• Monitor and document inbound and outbound traffic including employees, visitors, and commercial vehicles, and report irregular activity according to post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying site contacts and/or emergency services as directed by post instructions.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
