As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a Distribution Center, you will manage access control and badge activity, monitor entry points, and complete routine patrols to help support a welcoming environment. You will respond to alarms and other security-related events, document activity, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while remaining a visible presence. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, staff, vendors, and/or contractors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Manage access control at designated entrances by greeting entrants, verifying credentials, issuing visitor passes, maintaining entry logs, and directing visitors to appropriate locations.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or access control systems; report irregular activity and assist with documenting incidents according to post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with medical response and coordinating with site leadership and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout public galleries, back-of-house areas, and the perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
