As an Allied Universal Security Officer at an automotive manufacturing location, you will manage access control and badging, monitor entry points, and conduct routine patrols while staying visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will use computer and/or tablet systems to log activity, communicate clearly, and deliver a welcoming customer service experience. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
  • Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, drivers, and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures, security-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control entry and exit at gates and/or lobbies by checking identification, verifying appointments and/or work orders, issuing visitor badges, and directing traffic to designated areas.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and access control systems; document unusual activity and report incidents according to post orders and Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; coordinate notifications to site contacts and/or emergency services when directed.
  • Complete required logs and reports such as visitor records, vehicle and trailer movements, and incident documentation; communicate relevant updates during shift turnover.
