As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a fast-paced food and beverage location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, greet visitors and drivers, and document arrivals and departures. You will complete routine patrols, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with staff during daily operations. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage production and distribution location.
- Control access at entry points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, managing check-in and check-out logs, and directing deliveries and/or contractors to designated areas per site procedures.
- Monitor access control systems, alarms, and cameras as assigned, and document security-related activity in reports and/or electronic logs according to Allied Universal and site requirements.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site contacts and/or emergency services when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, production areas, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and report observed concerns.
