As a Security Officer Entrance Control in Romeoville, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and support security-related operations through visible presence and clear communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or identification, manage visitor processing, and document access activity in support of security-related operations.
  • Respond to incidents, delivery-related issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including the business areas, perimeter, gates, docks, and parking areas, as working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access, report suspicious activity, and support the orderly movement of people, vehicles, and/or shipments throughout the location.
