About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Control in Thibodaux, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location where you will monitor entry points, manage badge and access control activity, conduct routine patrols, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, credential checks, and other security-related policies at a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or authorization for site access, and document visitor, vehicle, and delivery activity in accordance with post orders.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and the perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
  • Support emergency response activities by helping with restricted access, traffic direction, and incident documentation while following site-specific protocols.
