Job Description As a Security Officer - Access Control in Ennis, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer supporting access control at a healthcare location, you will greet staff and visitors, manage entry procedures, and monitor assigned areas for security-related concerns. You will complete routine patrols, remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and provide clear communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following site-specific access control procedures, security-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entrances and interior checkpoints, verify identification and/or authorization, issue visitor passes when required, and direct individuals to the appropriate location within the facility.
  • Control access to restricted areas by managing keys, badges, and/or electronic access systems per post orders, and promptly report discrepancies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating with clinical staff and/or local responders as directed.
  • Complete routine security-related patrols of lobbies, corridors, and exterior approaches as assigned, and document observations, access issues, and incident details in daily reports.
