About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control in Scottsville, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced food and beverage location where you will manage access control at key entry points, greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, issue badges, and document activity. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents while providing strong customer service and clear communication. Requirements

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by following site-specific access control procedures, greeting employees and visitors, and directing individuals to the appropriate check-in area.
• Control entry and exit at gates and/or checkpoints by verifying identification, managing visitor logs and/or badges, and coordinating with on-site contacts for visitor authorization.
• Monitor for irregular or suspicious activity at entrances, loading areas, and perimeter points, and report concerns according to security-related procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating emergency response activities as directed by post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, parking areas, and perimeter, noting and reporting maintenance issues, hazards, and/or policy concerns.
