Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a guard card.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, members, and visitors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or authorization, and help to deter unauthorized access to the location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with property contacts and/or public responders as needed.
• Document visitor activity, deliveries, and security-related incidents in required logs, reports, and/or electronic systems.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entry areas, common spaces, and perimeter access points as directed, noting unusual activity and reporting concerns promptly.
