Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, and support badge activity while maintaining a visible presence. Requirements

  • Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, and/or city-issued security-related license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, and document site access activity in alignment with post orders and security-related protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, control points, and perimeter areas, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access and/or restricted area violations by observing personnel movement, reporting concerns, and following established security-related procedures.
