Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, helping support smooth operations through security-related screening and access control. You will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help deter incidents, verify badges and visitor entry, and document activity using a computer and/or tablet. Bring strong communication and customer service while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and always acts with integrity.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related screening procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Conduct entry screening of personnel, visitors, packages and/or vehicles using approved methods and equipment, verifying credentials and directing individuals to the proper processing areas.
• Control access points by monitoring entrances, checking identification and shipping documentation as required, and documenting access activity according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through the chain of command and completing required reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, yard and perimeter, observing for irregular conditions and reporting security-related concerns.
