Security Officer - Access Control
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Driver in Zeeland, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a food and beverage production location, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide exceptional customer service. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. You will play a key role in fostering a secure environment through teamwork, clear communication, and our commitment to putting people first.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, with working environments and conditions varying based on the location.
- Observe and report any suspicious activity or potential hazards encountered during patrols.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and employees while performing assigned duties.
- Assist with access control and monitor entry points to help to deter unauthorized access to the premises.
- Complete detailed and accurate incident reports and log activities as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
