As an Access Control Officer at a leading manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with visitors and staff, and use technology to support your duties. Requirements

  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors in accordance with site-specific policies and procedures.
  • Provide customer service by assisting individuals entering or exiting the premises and addressing inquiries in a professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by site procedures.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and emergency responders when appropriate, supporting emergency response activities as needed.
  • Maintain awareness of the manufacturing and industrial environment to identify and address potential security-related risks.
  • Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines and procedures while performing assigned duties.
