About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control in Sunnyvale, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, supporting access control and security-related operations at gates and entrances. You will help manage employee, visitor, and driver check-ins, verify credentials, monitor cameras and alarm activity, and document site activity using computer-based systems. Requirements

• Have at least 6+ months of security-related experience.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to all visitors, drivers, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Control access to the facility by verifying identification, checking credentials, managing visitor and contractor logs, and directing truck traffic and pedestrians according to site procedures.
• Monitor entry and exit points using security-related systems and manual checks to help to deter unauthorized access and/or removal of property.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, dispatching assistance per post orders, and completing required documentation.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including warehouse areas, loading docks, trailer yards, and parking areas, as permitted by site requirements.
