As a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help support site operations by screening employees and visitors, checking identification, monitoring entry points, and documenting activity using site technology. You will maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, communicate clearly with team members and customers, and respond to concerns with professionalism. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under Allied Universal driver policy.

Requirements

• Have at least 6+ months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21+ years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, employees, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen personnel, visitors, and deliveries for prohibited items by conducting entrance screening, bag checks, and package inspections in accordance with post orders and applicable guidelines.
• Monitor and control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, managing visitor logs, issuing temporary credentials as directed, and coordinating entry for scheduled pickups and drop-offs.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services and completing required documentation.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including dock areas and parking lots, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
