About The Position

This role is for a Security Officer Access Coordinator in Wilmington, DE, serving and safeguarding clients, particularly in the Chemical/Petrochemical industry. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical site, the individual will be responsible for monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and supporting security operations through visible presence and strong communication. The position involves providing customer service and contributing to a team that values innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all visitors, contractors, and employees by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and credentials, maintain visitor logs, and report unauthorized access attempts or other security-related concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations with professionalism, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including entrances, gates, restricted zones, and perimeter locations, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions at the location.
