Job Description As a Security Officer - Access Control in Hattiesburg, MS , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer in a food and beverage location, you will manage access control, greet and screen visitors, verify credentials, and support employee and delivery traffic at key entry points. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with site leaders and teammates. Requirements

  • Have at least 6+ months of security-related experience.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location.
  • Control access at entry and exit points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, managing sign-in and/or sign-out logs, and directing arrivals to appropriate check-in areas.
  • Monitor and document vehicle and delivery traffic by confirming shipping and receiving appointments, checking driver credentials, and coordinating with on-site contacts for dock and gate access.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting concerns, completing required documentation, and communicating updates to Allied Universal leadership and site management.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
