As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a commercial real estate location, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintain a welcoming environment. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, maintaining visibility, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations.
  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying the credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or concerns according to Allied Universal protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with property management and residents to address security-related matters and provide information as needed.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential issues and promote a secure environment for all occupants and visitors.
