About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control Weekdays in Beaumont, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a government location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, issue and monitor badges, and keep accurate visitor logs. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and respond to requests with clear communication and strong customer service. Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors and staff by following site-specific access control procedures at a government location, including greeting, directing, and assisting with entry requirements.
  • Monitor entry points, verify identification and/or credentials, manage visitor logs and badge issuance, and help to deter unauthorized access while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate personnel and documenting events per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of corridors, public areas, and the exterior perimeter as assigned, watching for unusual activity and reporting concerns through established channels.
  • Complete required reports such as activity logs and incident documentation, and communicate security-related information to Allied Universal management and site representatives as needed.
