As a Security Officer - Access Control Tech in Abbeville, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor entrances and exits at a dynamic tech and media location, helping to deter security-related incidents and unauthorized access. Requirements
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Assist with access control procedures to help to deter unauthorized entry into the location, following site-specific policies and protocols.
- Deliver customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees by addressing inquiries and providing guidance as needed.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verifying identification and credentials as required.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to observe for unusual activity and report security-related concerns.
- Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and actions in accordance with Allied Universal procedures.
- Collaborate with site management and Allied Universal team members to support security-related operations and maintain a secure environment.
